”B-eing” With Jesus In Lent

As we walk with Jesus through Lent, we get closer to Holy Week. In this sacred season, we find symbols and reminders for everyday living (and holiness).

Night One: Burros (donkey of Palm Sunday) –“The Master Needs It”. No matter how much we believe we may be unqualified, we are called to carry Jesus to others. To whom does Jesus need us to carry Him? Where are we called to share our faith in ordinary, unglamorous ways?

Night Two: Bread & Basins (washing feet on Holy Thursday) “So you must do.” The guest of honor becomes a servant. Whom does Jesus call us to serve?

Night Three: Bricks & Bouquets (stones on Via Dolorosa—Good Friday) Where am I stumbling, falling, failing? What sacrifices am I called to make? Do I trust that the Crucified Christ is also the RISEN Christ? What does Jesus need to bring to new life out of the tomb of my life?
