An assembly with a guest speaker? The first week of school? Are you CRAZY?
Those were my first thoughts when approached this summer . But I have learned that Donna Lemaire (principal) and Ted Daigle (assistant principal) lead an exceptional school because they do look ahead and strive for excellence and it is contagious.
So….
Water guns, bandanas, horses, frogs, band-aids…all of these were tools I used (not real horses)…to discuss with teens and children the notion of respecting others and listening to God’s voice amid the many other competing for their attention.

I got some comments back that the students actually learned something…praise God!
