I love being from southwest Louisiana. My Cajun heritage is something I am proud of and hope I represent well.
One of my favorite towns is Crowley, about 25 miles from my home. This town has a rich heritage of good solid farm families who are very much into their Catholic faith. One of the elementary schools in this town is named after my patron, St. Michael...
I spent a wonderful morning there with the faculty of this school ... and left with 2 jars of pepper jelly from a nun who is professed for over 50 years!
